About three weeks ago, THE announcement was made.
THE one that broke my darling husband's heart in many, many, many little pieces... the Seattle SuperSonics are no more. Their TERRIBLE owner moved the team where he wanted it all along - to Oklahoma City. And the NBA Commissioner - David Stern didn't do much to save the team either.
Brian has been so upset over losing his hometown NBA team - the one he grew up watching (even when they lost more games than not). He's been searching eBay for memorabilia - especially since the team's website DISAPPEARED the day after the announcement was made! He wants to keep the memories he's had throughout the years Alive! ESPN commentators have discussed possible names for the new Oklahoma City team. The best one so far - the one that truly defines the new team and their ownership = The Outlaws!
I just hope Seattle builds a new stadium so they can get another team soon. Brian will be anti-NBA until then - I'm sure of it!
