Favorite Holiday Movies

This is my favorite time of year. I love the holiday music, lighted houses, decorations, and of course holiday movies! There have been so many holiday movies made, but Brian and I have narrowed it down to our favorites...

Our Top 5 Holiday Movies
1) Love Actually (FANTASTIC)
2) Just Friends (I swear one of the funniest movies around)
3) The Family Stone (Great family film) / The Holiday (Very much a girly movie)
4) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (All-time classic)
5) A Christmas Story (Who can forget the leg lamp?)

Honorable Mentions: This Christmas; You've Got Mail

Sorry, I know it's supposed to be a Top 5, but I really enjoy them all. Though I'm sure Brian can do without the first four. :-) He also wanted to put HOOSIERS on the list, but it isn't a Christmas movie. He said it was snowing in a few scenes :-)

Welcome to the Neighborhood!

We have a new neighbor in Bahia Lakes... an alligator! Over the past few weeks, Brian has been stalking it. Every morning and afternoon he's looking out our back patio to see if he sees the gator. It's like he's excited that the gator made the man-made pond behind our house his new home. I, on the other hand, am terrified of real gators, so I don't like the fact that it's here. Oh well, can't very well ask it to leave - right?

It's Great to be a Florida Gator!

Oh my! The Gators just won the SEC championship game over Alabama. It was a very intense game... I honestly didn't think we'd pull it off, especially given that one of our best players (Percy Harvin) was out with an ankle injury. But, with some luck, some great plays, and a Heisman quarterback - WE WON! Tim Tebow is my hero... and the future husband of so many Gator girls! ;-) Gator nation should be very proud.

Brian and I went to the SEC championship game in 2006 and it was truly one of the best games we've ever been to (of course nothing tops the 1996 National Championship game in New Orleans). The stadium, the atmosphere, the excitement. Wish we could have been there again this year.

Hopefully, the BCS system will put us in the National Championship game in Miami. We'll find out soon enough.
